The Purchasing Manager is responsible for creating system of PO's, creating inventory control standards and procedures, overseeing the procurement of goods and services for the organization, ensuring that the products and services are of high quality and are obtained at the most competitive prices. This individual will manage the sourcing and negotiating of contracts, develop and implement procurement strategies, and manage the relationship with vendors and suppliers. The purchasing manager may also be responsible for managing a team of buyers and coordinating the purchasing activities of multiple departments. They're responsible for establishing company targets (KPI’s) and objectives, hiring and developing the purchasing team, and responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience.

Job brief:

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for identifying potential vendors, negotiating contracts, purchasing products and ensuring that the organization receives high-quality products at competitive prices. The Purchasing Manager is also responsible to create and manage the parts/components database, determine buy points for certain products, to create and maintain a budget for their department and work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the proper inventory needed to complete jobs in a timely basis.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Represent and instill the company’s core values

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's overall business goals and objectives
  • Source and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure that goods and services are obtained at the most competitive prices
  • Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
  • Manage purchasing Specialty Parts/Parts to be ordered (PTBO)
  • Place orders with window/door/consumable suppliers
  • Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and other related documents
  • Monitor and manage the inventory levels of goods and services to ensure that the organization has a sufficient supply to meet its needs
  • Analyze market trends and assess the impact on the organization's procurement strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that the procurement process is aligned with their requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities
  • Evaluate vendor performance and implement improvements as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction – customer delight
  • Develop KPI’s for purchasing - measure, maintain and report to upper-level management
  • Assist in corporate strategic planning and support operational goals and objectives

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
  • Must embrace technology
  • Must have a valid drivers license

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
